Rev. Antonio Logan, the son of Floyd and
Cornelia Logan, is a native of Asheville, NC. He
was educated in the Asheville school system and
graduated from Asheville High School in 1976. Rev.
Logan has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Christian
Psychology from Jacksonville Theological Seminary
in Jacksonville, Florida. He has had additional
training at Shaw University Extension and Mars
Hill College. He has done work on a
Masters of Divinity Degree from Jacksonville
Theological Seminary. Rev. Logan was saved at age
22 and began serving as an adult Sunday School
teacher. He was ordained as a deacon and served as
chairman of the deacon ministry. At the age of 25,
he was called to become a minister. He was
licensed to preach in 1983 and then ordained as
pastor at the H.B. Ferguson Missionary Baptist
Church in 1989. In addition, he has also served as
the assistant pastor of the Store House Christian
Center, the associate pastor of the Rock Academy
in Asheville, and as pastor of the Liberty
Christian Fellowship Church. Rev. Logan served
under Dr. C.R. Mosley as associate pastor of
Nazareth First Baptist Church in Asheville. Credit
is also given to Dr. N.M. Avery of Hill Street
Baptist Church for Rev. Logan's growth as a
pastor. During his tenure in Asheville, Rev. Logan
served on numerous ministerial boards which
included The Baptist Ministerial Alliance, The
Baptist Buncombe Union, and the
Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance.
Currently, he is very active in organizations in
the greater Hickory area. He is a member of the
Greater Hickory Ministerial Alliance, Habitat for
Humanity, and the Piedmont Youth Council,
Interfaith Housing, on the executive board for the
Pregnancy Care Center of Catawba County, and has
previously served on the selection committee for
Wachovia Outstanding Educators Award. He was
formerly on the executive board
of the The Corner Table Ministry in Newton, NC. He was inducted into
the Catawba Rotary Club in February 2009. Rev. Logan's vision and church
program encourages Christians to "raise the
standard" in their daily walk with God by service
to others and in the dedication of their time,
talents, and tithing. In this manner, he feels
that everyone can rise to greater heights in our
Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
